The Surati Modh vanik Samaj of Surat , which has nearly Five Lakh members, is a part of Taili Sahu Vaishya vaniya Samaj which has about eighteen crore members across the India in different states with different names. In Gujarat it comes under the Modh Modi Samaj, the same to which our Prime Minister Shree Narendra Modi belongs. The members of our samaj are entrepreneurs, highly skilled professionals and well to do people not only in Surat, Gujarat but also in countries like USA, UK, Australia, Newzealand, African countries and Gulf countries. The members of Surati Modh Vanik Samaj has contributed a lot in Social, Economical, Educational, Political and many other fronts of Surat .

The Surati Modh Vanik Samaj is also publishing Monthly Magazine called JYOTIDHAR giving all information about activities of Samaj, and is ranked very highly among the literary world for its content. It is publishing nearly 5800 copies and sent to members in India and abroad.

Under its umbrella the Surat Modh Vanik Samaj is running following charitable institutions.

(1) P.R.Khatiwala Vidhya Sankul :

A full fledge Gujarati & English medium, Nursery to Higher Secondary co-education school for both science and commerce stream at Dumas Road Surat.

(2) P.R.Khatiwala Wadi Sankul:

A fully Air Conditioned three floor community hall with all facilities for catering nearly 1000 people on each floor & having large parking facility in the centre of the city at Rughnathpura.

(3) Vankawala Children Hospital:

Giving medical treatment to all citizens of Surat without any cast and religion discrimination at Majura Gate.

(4) Shree Surati Modh Vanik Ghanchi Hitvardhak Mandal:

A Charity Organization providing help to widows and economically weak members of Modh Vanik Samaj on Monthly basis in the form of cash and grocery.

(5) Sarnath Eye Hospital:

Eye hospital and Dental clinic giving treatment to all samaj members at reasonable rates also performing cataract surgery at reasonable charges.

(6) Surati Modh Vanik Bhavan (Pal Wadi)

Fully Air Conditioned , state of the art community hall with underground and first floor parking at Pal, near TGB Hotel.

(7) Modheshwari Mataji Temple.

A temple of our kuldevi Modheshwari Mataji at Bhatha Hajira Road.
